Michael Grayer is a partner at Gleacher Shacklock, leading the Debt Advisory business.
Michael has extensive experience in acquisition finance, LBO finance, capital markets, restructuring and debt investing, on transactions including a number of acquisition financings for Synthomer and other UK plc’s; debut bond issues for Synthomer and Oxford University; debt negotiations with bank and institutional lenders to Kier and Ineos; private debt placement for HC1; and restructurings for Crest Nicholson and the Alternative Hotel Group.
Prior to joining Gleacher Shacklock, Michael worked at Lazard as a Managing Director and Head of Debt Advisory, before which he worked at GE Commercial Finance as Head of Leveraged Lending. Prior to GE, Michael spent fourteen years at UBS and its predecessor firms in both London and New York in a number of roles, latterly as co-Head of European Leveraged Finance and Global Head of Acquisition Finance.
Michael has a BSc (Hons) in Physics and Philosophy from Bristol University.
